The Cubro Packetmaster EX 484-3 is a modern Network Packet Broker and network controller switch that aggregates, filters and load-balances network traffic sent to network monitoring, security and management tools. The  Cubro Packetmaster EX484-3 allows you to filter and load-balance traffic from your 10-Gbps link to multiple 1-Gbps monitoring tools or to aggregate multiple 1-Gbps links to 10-Gbps monitoring tools. The Cubro Packetmaster EX484-3 also supports traffic modification, changing, removing and adding VLANs. Load balancing and much more, call for a demo.

Aggregation of two 10 Gbit span ports to 1 10 Gbit output with EX2+

This application is normally not possible because the EX2+ has only two 10 Gbit ports and you need 3 to do this job.  But we at Cubro give our units some extra features to do this with two ports.

A optical ports has an transmitter and a receiver part, this two “ports” can be used separately in all Cubro NPB. The other feature what you need is the optical tap at the back.

The base unit is the EX 20400 with a new firmware that gives us the possibility to convert

GRE de - encapsulation

Virtual environments needs virtual Taps, virtual Taps need GRE to send it over the virtual switchto a real monitoring device. All Packetmaster units can decapsulate GRE traffic to get the data in their original format.
